The Petitioners have a statutory alternate remedy of preferring a second revision under Section 257 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code in view of the judgment delivered by the learned Division Bench of this Court in the matter of Gurudassing Nawoosing Panjwani vs. State of Maharashtra and others, Letters Patent Appeal No.55/2003 in Writ Petition No.7477/2002 (Mumbai) decided vide judgment dated 13.07.2005.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of. The Petitioners shall prefer the revision proceedings within four weeks from today. If this direction is complied with, ad-interim protection granted by this Court (Coram : M.S.Sanklecha, J.) earlier on

*2* 6wp5260o17 19.04.2017 shall continue for a further period of eight weeks. The time spent by the Petitioners in this Court from 03.04.2017 till the passing of this order, shall be a good ground for condonation of delay, if any.

Needless to state, the Revisional Authority shall be competent to decide whether, any interim relief can be granted to these Petitioners on merits without being influenced by ad-interim protection granted by this Court.
