Heard the learned advocate for the petitioner, learned AGP as also the learned advocate for the respondent - University. 2.

The petitioner intends to start new law college and is awaiting decision of the State Government under Section 109 of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016.

The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner irrespective of other prayers merely seeks a direction to

2 wp.4330.2023 the State Government to take appropriate decision on a positive recommendation forwarded by the respondent - University. 4.

In view of the above, we dispose of the petition by directing the respondent no.1 to take appropriate decision on the proposal received from the respondent - University in respect of the petitioner - institution as expeditiously as possible and in any case within six weeks. 5.

All other issues are kept open.
