In the present proceeding directions is claim by the petitioner against respondents, police station to register crime in respect of the communications made on electronic media with him by one woman. It is contention that some photographs were sent, some videos were sent and some intimate messages were sent to him which has caused harm to his reputation. It is contention that the offence punishable under Section 294 of the Indian Penal Code is committed though offence under Information Technology Act is also committed. The submissions made and the record shows during inquiry the said woman admitted that she had sent such messages though she did not know personally the present petitioner. In view of the circumstance that offence is committed, this Court is hereby directing the respondent to register crime on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner to Chandanjhira Police Station, Jalna on 02/03/2020. 3.
