The grievance of the Petitioners is that the Application under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, dated 06.07.2023, is pending before the concerned Authority. The learned AGP submits that if a First Appeal is pending, Section 28-A proceeding will have to be kept in abeyance.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off with a direction that the pending proceeding under Section 28-A

(( 2 )) 40-WP-6406-2024 of the Land Acquisition Act, shall be decided within a period of one year from today. If any First Appeal is pending or in the case of any legal impediment, the concerned authority shall accordingly pass an order for keeping the proceedings pending and intimate the said fact to the Petitioners.

The Petitioners shall deposit the deficit Court fees of Rs.250/- within 14 days.
