The petitioner is a primary teacher who was selected and appointed in Raigad Zilla Parishad in 2011. On her request, in the light of the permissible rules for couple arrangement and inter district transfers, she succeeded in being transferred to Ahmednagar in 2017. Her husband is an employee of an Ashram School and presently the distance between the place where the husband is located and the place of work of the wife, is 58 kilometers apart.

The petitioner has two children aged 3 years and 9 years, and it is difficult for her to travel daily to the place of work from her marital

WP 8037-2022 home. She has tendered a representation dated 17/06/2019 praying for a relocation at any place within 30 kilometers of her place of residence. She has submitted 20 options and has also filled in an online application dated 07/06/2019. She submits that her request may be considered as per rules.

We have not issued notices to respondent Nos.2 and 3. However, since the learned Advocate Mr. A. D. Aghav normally appears for the Zilla Parishad, that we requested him to assist the Court.

Having heard the learned Counsel, this petition is disposed off. 5.

Let the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Ahmednagar, consider the request of the petitioner, if not already dealt with, strictly as per rules and the policies applicable. We make it clear that we have not expressed any opinion with regard to the request of the petitioner.
