We have heard the learned advocate for the petitioner and the learned prosecutor on behalf of the respondents. With their assistance, we have perused the petition paper-book and the circular dated 01-08-2007, issued by the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra, thereby setting out a period within which applications for furlough and normal parole are to be decided by the competent authorities, under the Maharashtra Prisons (Bombay Furlough and Parole) Rules, 1959 .
