Learned AGP states on instructions that the process of election of 42 Primary Co-operative Societies would be completed by 31st August, 2016, and the Returning Officer would submit the programme to the State Election Authority on consideration of the aforesaid aspect. It is further stated that proper care would be taken to ensure that the process of election of APMC shall be in conformity with the provisions of law and that the primary societies are not put to any dis-advantage. It is further stated in the affidavit-in-reply presented on behalf of the State Government that every elected director of co-operative society would be able to hold authority till the date of completion of election process of that particular society and therefore, the Election Authority of APMC will take appropriate care at the time of finalisation of voters' list for election of APMC. So far as right of the Director of the society is concerned, it is stated that till completion of the process of election, Director can participate in the functions of APMC.

In view of the statement made in affidavit-in-reply, the apprehension expressed by petitioner in the instant petition no longer survives. Writ petition accordingly stands disposed of.
