The challenge was to the letter dated 20.6.2006, issued by the respondent No.1 reserving the post of Mayor of respondent No.3 Corporation for open category.

With the passage of time, the relief claimed in the petition does not survive as twice thereafter the elections must have taken place. In view thereof, Writ Petition is disposed of. Rule discharged. No costs.
