The petitioner No. 1 seeks permission to terminate the pregnancy. The petitioner No. 1 was referred to the Expert's Committee at Government Medical College and Hospital, Aurangabad. The Expert Committee has examined the petitioner No. 1 and submitted the report. The report reads thus :

"The committee has thoroughly examined Pooja Santosh Gadekar and her obstetric Sonography report. On obstetric ultrasonography dated 04.07.2020 at GMCH, Aurangabad, following findings are noted.

a.

Single live intrauterine pregnancy with Gestational Age of 23 weeks 01 days with b.

Fetal cardiac anomaly with Left Hypoplastic Heart Synodrome with Aortic Stenosis.

2 wp st 11206.20 Taking into consideration the above findings there is substantial risk to the fetus if born. Hence this Committee recommends termination of this pregnancy. Pregnancy can be terminated at any Government recognized centre of choice of patient with due risk to mother and the risk is explained to her and her relatives."

The Expert Committee has opined that, there is substantial risk to the fetus, if born. The Committee recommends termination of pregnancy. The risk involved in termination of pregnancy is explained to the petitioner No.1 and her relatives. The learned counsel for petitioners submits that, the petitioner No. 1 is informed about the risk involved in terminating the pregnancy and the petitioner No. 1 wants to proceed with termination of pregnancy.

In the light of the opinion and the report of the Expert Committee, the petitioner No. 1 is permitted to terminate the pregnancy at any Government recognized centre. 4.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
