Heard the learned Counsel for the applicant.

This application is taken out in Writ Petition No. 7719 of 2019 which was disposed of by order dated 30th March 2021 with liberty to the petitioner - applicant to assail the impugned judgment and order by prefering an appeal before the Appellate Authority. This Court had also stayed the execution and operation of the impugned judgment and order dated 2nd December 2019, in Civil Application No. 7719 of 2020. By order dated 30th March 2021, the said stay has been continued for a period of four weeks thereafter.

Mr. Salunke, the learned Counsel for the applicant - petitioner submits that the Appellate Authority has listed the stay application preferred in the appeal, for hearing on 3rd May

(2) CA-4739_ 2021.odt 2021. The stay granted by this Court would, however, expire on 27th April 2021.

In the exigency of the situation, arising out of the Covid-19 pandemic, some allowance is required to be given to the authorities as they would be primarily discharging executive functions. Therefore, it is expedient in the interest of justice to continue the stay granted by this Court to the execution and operation of the impugned judgment and order till 7th May 2021. 5.

The Appellate Authority is requested to make an endeavour to decide the stay application on the date it is listed. 6.

Civil Application stands disposed of.
