These applications are preferred by the appellant-acquiring body seeking further time to deposit the amount to the extent of 60% of compensation, and the interest accrued thereon, awarded by the Reference Court. 02.

By an order dated 28th February, 2020, the applicant-acquiring body was directed to deposit 60% of the amount of the compensation.

Learned Counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant-acquiring body could deposit 26.22% of the amount of compensation only. The learned Counsel submits

( 2 ) ca5501.20 that in view of the situation which arose on account of Covid-19 pandemic, the applicant could not deposit balance amount. Learned Counsel seeks eight weeks' further time to deposit the balance amount.

In the circumstances of the case, having regard to the fact that eight week's time was granted by order dated 28th February, 2020, six weeks' further time would meet the ends of justice.

Hence, the following order :- The applications stand allowed.

The applicant-acquiring body is granted six weeks' time from today to deposit the balance amount of compensation, so as to make the total deposit 60% of the compensation awarded by the Reference Court.

It is hereby made clear that no request for further extension of time would be entertained. List the matters on 22.04.2021.
