We have briefly heard the leaned advocates for the respective sides and have gone through the petition paper book with their assistance. Despite service of notice on the Principal of respondent No.4, no appearance has been entered. 2.

We have perused the prayers set out in the Civil Application. Prayer clause '

B' reads as under :

ble Court may pass orders and issue directions to the Respondents to pay and continue to pay regular monthly salary as per pay scale applicable to the posts held by the Applicants."

The prayer of the applicants that they should be paid monthly salary as per the scales applicable to the posts, would amount to granting final relief. As such, since we are listing the petition on 16.11.2021 with the hope of taking up the petition for final hearing at admission stage, the said prayer would be considered while deciding the petition. 4.

The learned advocate for the University submits that respondent No.4 is a Model College, which is created under a particular scheme floated by the U.G.C. There are five model colleges in the State and there is only one of such kind under the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. The State Government has allocated Rs.24,000/- per month as consolidated pay for associate professors. The grievance of these petitioners is that the associate professors ought not to be paid a paltry amount of Rs.24,000/- when the 7th pay Commission Pay Scales are at least 7 to 8 times more. 5.

The learned advocate for the University submits that these petitioners are being regularly paid their consolidated salaries.

In view of the above, this Civil Application is disposed off.

Needless to state, we would take up this petition for final hearing at admission stage on 16.11.2021.
