It is a matter of land acquisition and payment of compensation to the Petitioners.

The petitioners have come with the prayer seeking consideration of their representation dated 21.10.2022 by the respondents and for passing the award and for payment of compensation.

Learned advocate Mr. Ingole, tenders across the bar a copy of communication dated 20.03.2025 addressed with the

(( 2 )) 38-WP-6448-2023 respondent No.1 District Collector, whereby a proposal has been submitted to his office for undertaking the process of land acquisition under the new Act.

The learned AGP tenders across the bar a communication received from the respondent No.2 Sub Divisional Officer dated 26.03.2025 admitting to have received the proposal from respondent No.3 and mentioning that it would be placed before respondent No.1 District Collector for necessary sanction and thereafter the land acquisition process would be completed within 8 to 10 months. 5.

In the light of above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to coordinate inter se and ensure that the award is passed within 8 months and keeping open the avenue for the petitioners to approach this court in case that is not done.
