This is the third extension that has been sought by learned Additional Sessions Judge / Special Judge, under POCSO Act, Nanded. It appears that up till now 48 witnesses have been examined and PW 46 has been recalled i.e. the Investigating Officer and prosecution though has given list of 116 witnesses, is willing to examine 8-10 witnesses more. The extension, that is, now sought is for six months. There are about 116 under

120_Cri.WP_574_2022 trial prisoners' cases before the said Court having four High Court time bound matters and one Supreme Court time bound matter. We may give the option of holding the trial in the present case on day-to-day basis to learned Special Judge. The extension appears to be for genuine reason. However, this would be the last extension that would be granted for disposing of the Special (MCOC) Case No.95/2020. The time to dispose of said case is extended by six months from the date of receipt of writ.
