2] Heard learned counsel for parties. Learned counsel for applicant submits that the applicant was on bail during trial. Perused the impugned judgment and order.

3] Applicant is convicted for offences punishable under Sections 7, 13(1)(d) r/w 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act and sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for two years each with

crap2113.16 fine and default clause.

4] Considering the short term sentence awarded by the Trial Court and without going into the merits of the case, this court is inclined to allow the application. Hence the following order.

O R D E R

(i) Application is allowed.

(ii) Substantive sentence of imprisonment is suspended till the decision of appeal.

(iii) Applicant is released on bail on S.B. and P.B. of Rs.15,000/- each.

(iv) Bail before the Trial Court.
