The petitioners belong to reserved category and have been admitted to medical course as against seats reserved for reserved category.

It is not in dispute that caste/tribe certificate validation proposals of the petitioners are pending with respondent no.2 Scrutiny Committee. As a result of failure of the petitioners to produce validation certificates, an impediment is created by respondent nos. 3 and 4 in permitting the petitioners to appear for examination.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, these petitions can be disposed of by issuing directions to respondent no.2 Committee to decide the caste/tribe certificate validation proposals pending with respondent no.2 Committee, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight months from today and it is accordingly directed.

In the mean time, respondent nos. 3 and 4 are directed to permit the petitioners to appear for examination and prosecute studies subject to decision by the Scrutiny Committee in respect of

caste/tribe certificate validation proposals. 5.

Writ Petitions are accordingly disposed of.
