On account of ad-interim orders passed by this Court, each of these petitioners were able to contest the elections. Unfortunately for them, they lost the elections. If they have any surviving grievance with regard to electoral process, as also other issues pertaining to the same, they have ample remedies available to them in law. Results of elections can thus be disputed in those and other substantive proceedings. Writ Petitions could not be kept pending once they have served their purpose.
