In the present matter, the caste certificates are confiscated by the Committee on the ground that the spelling of the Tribe in the Caste Certificate is erroneously spelled.

We have heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3.

The petitioners may make an application to the Committee for issuance of the attested Tribe Certificates of the caste certificates submitted by the petitioners to the Committee with incorrect spelling. 1/2

1088.WP.9668.19.odt The attested copy shall be issued by the Committee within 7 days from the date of application made by the petitioners. The petitioners shall submit the said attested copy of the Tribe Certificates with the S.D.O. The concerned S.D.O. after verifying the genuineness of the attested Tribe Certificate submitted to it, shall issue the tribe certificate with the correct spelling of the tribe to the petitioners within 15 days thereafter. The petitioners may file on-line application to the S.D.O., if required. 4.
