Mr. Nagargoje, the learned counsel for petitioners states that the petitioners have not filed any Reference U/Sec. 18 of the Land Acquisition Act (for short "L. A. Act"). They have made an application to the Collector seeking interest U/Sec. 34 of the L. A. Act. The said application is made in the year 2014, however, no decision has been taken upon the same.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader accepts notice for respondent Nos. 1 to 3.

In case, the application of petitioners for grant of interest

2 wp 4417.16 U/Sec. 34 of the L. A. Act (Exh. C) is pending with the Authority, the Authority shall take decision upon the same on its own merits, in accordance with law, after hearing all parties concerned, expeditiously and preferably within a period of nine

(9) months from today. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
