The petitioner is before us being aggrieved by the fact that in spite of a dispute being pending before the civil court touching the property in question between her on one hand and respondent nos. 4 to 10 on the other, by the impugned communication the respondent-Tahsildar has directed the police to provide police protection on a requisition submitted by respondent no. 4 dated 05.07.2024 and directing necessary steps to be taken and further soliciting a compliance report.

Considering the issue, we had requested the learned A.G.P. to take instructions as to under what provision of law the Tahsildar could issue any such instructions to the police further soliciting a compliance report. In response the learned A.G.P., with the instructions obtained telephonically from the concerned Tahsildar, submits that nothing has subsequently 1/2

26 WP 5056 25.odt happened and rather the police have informed respondent no. 4 that no such police protection would be extended, but the communication is oral. 4.

In the light of above, the writ petition is disposed of by recording the statement made by the learned A.G.P. and by leaving the petitioner to prosecute her civil suit.
