1] By this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners have prayed for directions to the State Government to decide the issue of bifurcation of "Group Gram Panchayat Mokali-Karhal", from District Nanded. The petitioners rely upon the provisions of Section 5 of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959, which provides that in every village there shall be a Panchayat.

Writ Petition No.4747/2015 2] Learned Assistant Government Pleader states that, the issue will be decided after the forthcoming general elections in September 2015.

3] We accordingly dispose of this petition with a direction to the State Government to consider and decide the above issue by 31st March 2016.
