The petitioner, who is aspiring to undertake further studies is awaiting scrutiny of his caste certificate pending with the respondent -Scrutiny Committee.

We have heard the learned Advocate for the petitioner and also the learned AGP for the respondents- State.

True it is that the petitioner has been remiss in submitting the proposal for scrutiny. It has been submitted as late as 15 November 2022.

In the normal course, it would not lie in the mouth of petitioner to seek expeditious scrutiny of his caste certificate by the respondent No.2 -Scrutiny Committee.

However, since the petitioner is a student, we dispose of the writ petition by requesting the respondent No.2 - Scrutiny Committee to endeavor to finally decide the claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and in any event within three months.
