Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

By this petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction against Respondent Nos. 5 and 6 to decide an application dated 15.01.2024 filed by the petitioner for relief under the provisions of the Maharashtra Project Affected Persons Rehabilitation Act, 1999. 3.

It is an admitted position that in the present case, the land of the petitioner was acquired as far back as in the year 1996 and the award itself was declared on 31.06.1996. Compensation payable to the petitioner was disbursed and this is an admitted fact. 4.

For the first time, after almost 30 years, the petitioner has submitted the said application before Respondent Nos. 5 and 6, claiming benefit under the provisions of the said Act. We have perused the said Act including section 10 thereof. But, we are unable to agree with the petitioner that any relief can now be granted to the petitioner,

935wp8166-25 particularly, when the compensation payable under the said award was admittedly disbursed to the petitioner. The land obviously vested in the State and now, after almost three decades, the aforesaid application cannot be entertained by the said respondents. 5.
