The petitioner prays for a decision on her representations dated 12th October, 2021, 23rd November, 2021, 08th September, 2022, 28th November, 2022 and 27th March, 2023 for a transfer to the Nanded city where her husband is working with the Doordarshan Maintenance Centre. Her school in a village namely, Kopra is 6 kms away from Hadgaon. The total distance from Nanded to Hadgaon is 60 kms. From Hadgaon, the petitioner has to walk for 6 kms to reach the school at Kopra. It is in a difficult area and there is no conveyance.

The learned advocate for the Zilla Parishad submits, on instructions, that the representations would be considered on their

2 65-WP-4437-2023.odt own merits and would take into account the fact that the petitioner, a lady teacher, has to walk for 6 kms upto her school. 3.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. We expect the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Nanded to take a decision on the representations of the petitioner, on or before 15th May, 2023, considering that the petitioner is a lady teacher, who has been working in a difficult area for almost 10 years and is protected by the GR applicable.
