We have heard both the sides. While disposing of the contempt petition by the order dated 27 July 2022. the respondents were directed to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the erring officials.

Learned AGP submits that he has tendered an affidavit in reply along with a communication dated 20 January 2023 in the office. However, that reply is not with the papers. But learned advocate for the petitioner admits to have been served with this reply. It specifically mentions that person named therein Mr.Deepak R. Ghatge is no more. He died on 31 October 2019, and therefore, disciplinary proceedings could not be taken out as was directed.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that even the respondents have failed to comply with the directions contained in clause (d) of para no.7 of the order, wherein they were directed to pay compensation under the Act of 2013 by 30 December 2022.
