Learned Advocate for the petitioners adverts our attention to the copy of the communication dated 11 October 2018 (Exhibit-J) addressed by the Registrar of the University to respondent No.2 Director of Higher Education Department, seeking approval for processing the CAS Promotion Proposal papers. Since thereafter the matter is pending with respondent No.2. He would submit that at present petitioners would be satisfied if respondent No.2 is directed to take appropriate decision in the light of the communication dated 11 October 2018 (Exhibit-J).

We dispose of the writ petition by directing respondent No.2 to take appropriate decision on the proposal/communication dated 11 [2]

October 2018 (Exhibit-J) received from the Registrar of the University on its own merits, as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within a period of six weeks.
