Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned A.G.P. None appears for respondent Nos.2 to 5 although they are served.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner has made a limited request. It is submitted that the petitioner had applied to the respondent Corporation for registration as a Contractor. It is submitted that such registration is necessary in order to enable the petitioner to take part in the tenders floated by the Corporation. It is submitted that although the application for registration is made

(2) 973 wp-12794.2021.odt on 26 February 2021, no orders are yet passed. He, therefore, seeks direction to the respondent Corporation to decide the application in the time bound manner.

We find that as no adverse order is being passed against the respondent Corporation, we may not wait for the respondents to put in appearance.

In such circumstances, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent Nos. 2 to 5 to decide the application for registration on it's own merits and as per the applicable procedure regarding the eligibility of the petitioner to be registered as a contractor, within a period of two weeks from today.
