The appellant is before us by way of this appeal in view of the impugned judgment dated 18-06-2020 delivered by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Jalna in Sessions Case No.26 of 2016, vide which he has been sentenced to death and is to be hanged by the neck till he is dead for having committed an offence punishable under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. The State of Maharashtra is also before us in Criminal Confirmation Case No.2 of 2020.

Keeping in view Section 366 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the learned APP submits that he would open the

2 CrAppln.1215.2020 case for confirmation on 20-10-2020. Mr R.S. Deshmukh, learned Senior Advocate appearing on behalf of the convict submits that the Criminal Application for bail may be disposed off and the hearing on the confirmation case along with the appeal preferred by the convict against his conviction, could be commenced at 02:30 p.m. on 20-10-2020 and the learned advocate would endevour to address the Court on every day around 02:30 p.m.

In view of the above, Criminal Application No.1215 of 2020 stands disposed off.

List the Criminal Confirmation Case and the Criminal Appeal for final hearing at 02:30 p.m. on 20-10-2020. 5.

At the request of the learned Senior Advocate, arrangement to hear him through virtual Court, as has been arranged today, would be continued.
