It is not in dispute that the petitioner has entered in service in the year 1982 and he did not file application for correction in date of birth within five years from his entry in service. On 19.08.2014, the petitioner applied for correction of date of birth. As per relevant rules and Government resolutions, application for correction of date of birth in service record can be filed within five years from the date of entry into service. In that view of the matter, we are not inclined to entertain the writ petition. Hence rejected.
