By this petition filed under article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner seeks writ of mandamus against the respondent to issue fresh advertisement for the post of AGP/ APP and to extend the date of advertisement dated 04th January, 2021. Admittedly the petitioner was not eligible when said advertisement dated 04th January, 2021 was issued by the State Government for the post of AGP/APP.

It is the case of the petitioner that he has become eligible subsequently after last date for filling forms in response to the said advertisement dated 04-01-2021.

In our view this petition is thoroughly misconceived. We cannot direct the State Government to extend the date of advertisement on the ground that the petitioner has become eligible after the last date of filling form under the said advertisement.

The writ petition is dismissed. No order as to costs.
