The Petitioner is seeking a direction to the Respondent Collector to decide the application filed on behalf of the Petitioner, purportedly for correcting clerical error under Section 155 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966.

Having considered the Petition and the contents of the said application moved before the Collector, particularly paragraph Nos. 10 to 15 thereof, we are of the opinion that the correction sought by the Petitioner would not qualify as a mere clerical error. Therefore, such a direction cannot be granted.

Nonetheless, the Petitioner would be at liberty to raise his grievance in an appropriate proceeding, to be instituted under the provisions of the aforesaid Code.
