By this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner seeks an order or direction against the respondent No. 2 - committee to finalize the tribe claim verification proceeding, as early as possible.

The petitioner is a student and he will have to produce the tribe validity certificate before the educational institution for seeking admission for further studies.

The learned counsel for the petitioner invited our attention to the judgment delivered by the Division Bench of this Court on 18.04.2022 in Writ Petition No. 4339 of 2022 in case of Satvik S/o Ramesh Pataniwar Vs. The State of Maharashtra and another with other connected writ petitions and submits that similar order may be passed by this Court.

The learned A. G. P. does not distinguish the said judgment delivered by the Division Bench of this court on 18.04.2022 in Writ Petition No. 4339 of 2022 in case of Satvik S/o Ramesh Pataniwar Vs. The State of Maharashtra and another with other connected writ petitions.

We accordingly pass the following order.

In case, the proposal seeking validation of the tribe claim of the petitioner is pending with respondent No. 2, then respondent No. 2 shall endeavour to decide the validation proceedings by 30.06.2022. The petitioner shall appear before the committee on 28.04.2022. The petitioner shall co-operate in expeditious disposal of the proceedings. 8.

Writ petition stands disposed of.

Rule is made absolute accordingly. No order as to costs.
