The Petitioner's Merit Certificate No. 118, purportedly issued by the Maharashtra State Amateur Athletic Association and communication dated 1st April, 2024 have been forwarded for verification by the Deputy Director Sports and Youth Services, Latur, Division Latur to Respondent No.5, for more than one year.

Since an innocuous prayer is put-forth, we are not issuing notice. This Writ Petition is disposed off with a direction to Respondent No.5 to verify the said Sports Certificate by following the due procedure laid down in law, on its own merits, within a period of 45 days from today. We make it clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the said Sports Certificate.
