The Petitioner has been terminated by the order of the Gramsevak, dated 1st January, 2024. On a plain reading of the said order, we are of the prima facie view that the Gramsevak has recommended to the Block Development Officer Class-I, Panchayat Samiti Shirur (Kasar) that the Petitioner's contractual service may be brought to an end. The Petitioner has not been issued with a specific order saying that his contractual service has been terminated.

The Petitioner has preferred an appeal before the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, as per the Statute. The same is pending. 3.

In view of the above, we direct Respondent No.2, Zilla Parishad Beed to consider Clause 2(B) of the GR dated 2nd May, 2011 26.wp4440.24.odt

which does not permit the Gramsevak to take any decision and decide the pending appeal of the Petitioner, on it's own merits, within 30 days. 4.

The Writ Petition is disposed off.
