Learned counsel appearing for petitioner upon instructions states that with efflux of time tenure of the term is over and, as such, the matter now stand reduced to academic interest. He further points out that the petitioner has not taken any part in election held for current term. Even otherwise, since disqualification is operable during term of election and that period being over, by keeping the writ petition pending no fruitful purpose would be served.

2. In view of aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of as redundant.
