Petitioner is praying for issuance of direction to respondents to allot land admeasuring 4 acres out of gat no. 14 of village Handinimgaon in his favour and to decide representation dated 25.03.2013. 2.

Affidavit-in-reply has been presented on behalf of respondent no. 2 wherein it is stated that the land claimed by petitioner has been demanded by five different individuals who are also project affected persons. The Collector has assured to finalise the matter and consider the demands raised by the project affected persons. Petition therefore, stands disposed of with direction to the Collector to take decision in the matter as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from today. If it transpires that petitioner is not entitled to claim the land out of gat no. 14, the grievance of petitioner in respect of allotment of land shall be considered in accordance with the policy directives and the relevant legislation
