The similar orders, akin to the order passed by this Court on 09.02.2021, were assailed before the Hon'ble Supreme Court by the Chief Executive Officer, Nashik Zilla Parishad in a Petition for Special Leave to Appeal (C) No.19730 of 2021. By order dated 13.04.2022, the SLP is dismissed. Pursuant thereto, the Rural Development Department has issued a circular dated 01.07.2022 to the Chief Executive Officers of all the Zilla Parishads to grant benefits to the candidates, which are covered by the orders passed by this Court at the Principal Seat, at Aurangabad and at Nagpur. 02.

The order-sheet of the Hon'ble Supreme Court is taken on record

( 2 ) cp406.22 and is marked as "X-1" and the circular dated 01.07.2022 is taken on record and is marked as "X-2" for identification.

In view of the above, we find that this petition need not be kept pending. The Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Beed would be expected to implement the order of this Court expeditiously. Therefore, this contempt petition is disposed off.

The petitioner shall place a copy of this order before the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Beed.
