The Petitioners are aggrieved that Respondent Nos.6 and 7 management / college, have not paid their gratuity amounts in between 3 years to 6 years.

The learned Advocate representing the University submits that these Petitioners have raised a grievance under Section 79 of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016, before the Grievances Committee, which was earlier known as the Grievance Redressal Committee. The University can decide the said pending proceedings within a time frame, as this Court may direct. 3.

Considering the above, we do not find that these Petitions need to be kept pending. These Petitions are, therefore, disposed off with a direction to the University to decide the pending proceedings of these Petitioners under Section 79, as expeditiously as possible, and within a period of 90 days, by following the due procedure laid down in law and by granting an opportunity of hearing to all the stakeholders. 4.

The University shall consider the judgment delivered by this Court dated 29th August, 2022 in Writ Petition No.2683 of 2021 and Writ Petition No.2684 of 2021 filed by Dr. Dinesh Kumar Omkarnath Agarwal and others Vs.
