Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioners, the learned AGP appearing for respondents No.1 and 2 and the learned Counsel appearing for the Zilla Parishad.

It is the submission of the learned Counsel for the petitioners that similarly situated employees like the petitioners have been placed in the pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200. However, the said benefit has not been not extended to the petitioners by the respondents.

The learned Counsel for the respondents
4748.16wp - Zilla Parishad submits that the Zilla Parishad has sought clarification from respondent No.1 by letter dated 6th August, 2016. However, the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad has not received any reply from respondent No.1.

The learned AGP appearing for the State submits that the issue raised by the petitioners and the letter addressed by the Zilla Parishad to respondent No.1 will be addressed and a decision will be taken, as expeditiously as possible; however, within twelve weeks from today.

In the light of above, we direct respondent Nos.1 and 2 to take a decision in respect of the issue raised by the petitioners in reply to the letter dated 6th August, 2015 written by the respondent - Zilla Parishad, as expeditiously as possible; however, within twelve weeks from today and communicate the decision so taken to the petitioners as also the respondent - Zilla Parishad.

The petition stands disposed of on the above terms.
