In a proceeding pending before the respondent/scrutiny committee pursuant to the show cause notice issued to these petitioners for recalling their validities on the ground of alleged fraud, during the course of hearing, the petitioners submitted an application for calling over some witnesses, but, without deciding that application since 31.10.2023, they are being called upon to attend the enquiry and the committee is going ahead with the hearing.

Learned AGP, on instructions from the committee, in presence of its law officer, submits that the committee would take decision and pass a suitable order on the application dated 31.10.2023 before proceeding into further enquiry.

We accept the said statement of the learned AGP as an undertaking to the court on behalf of all the committee members and dispose of the petition.
