Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Assistant Government Pleader for respondents no. 1 and 2. 2.

The petitions can be disposed of with directions to respondents to decide representations/applications of petitioners annexed to the rejoinders in both the petitions. It appears that that rental compensation due and payable to

2 WP-9063-12.doc petitioner on land value as awarded by the land acquisition officer is asked to be paid having regard to averments in paragraph no. 8 of the reply filed on behalf of respondents no. 2, 4 and 5.

It is expected that the decisions by the authorities concerned on the representations/applications for payment of rental compensation would be taken expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of writ of this order.

Decision on representations/ application may be taken, taking into account the instructions issued from time to time under government resolutions. Concerned parties may take into account the decisions rendered by the courts cited by the parties.
