Heard. There is innocuous prayer in the Petition, in as much as, the petitioners seek directions to the Education Officer to decide the proposals for approval for appointment of the petitioners.

We direct the Respondent - Education Officer to take decision on the pending proposals, if already not taken, on its own merits, without raising ground that

4828.16WP there are surplus teachers on the Roll of the Education Officer and in view of Government Resolution dated 2nd May, 2012, no approval can be granted, as expeditiously as possible, and preferably by the end of July, 2016 and communicate the said decision to the petitioners.

Needless to observe that the Respondent - Education Officer shall afford the opportunity of hearing to the petitioners before taking any decision on the said proposals.

The Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
