By this petition, the petitioner has sought a direction to respondent no.2 - Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Aurangabad to take necessary steps for the appointment of the petitioner on compassionate ground in any aided High School in the district as per the provisions of the Government Resolution dated 31.12.2002.

Sanjay Bhosale, the father of the petitioner was working as a Laboratory Attendant in respondent no.4 - High School and Junior College run by the respondent no.3. Sanjay Bhosale expired

2 WP.1084.2021 on 17.06.2016 in harness. The petitioner after completing the age of 18 years applied for appointment on compassionate ground on 09.03.2018. However, there was no response from the respondents. It is not necessary to set out the facts in the interregnum. Suffice it to mention that now the respondent - College is claiming that there is no vacancy in the High School and College, where the petitioner could be accommodated. In these circumstances, the petitioner is seeking the aforesaid relief. 3.

We have heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned AGP.

The learned AGP submitted that respondent no.2 - the Education Officer shall take necessary steps as are permissible in accordance with the Government Resolution dated 31.12.2002. 5.

In that view of the matter, the petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2 - Education Officer to take necessary steps in accordance with the provisions of the Government Resolution dated 31.12.2002 within a period of eight weeks from today.
