The petitioner's proposal for premature release has been awaiting some decision by the respondent no.2 since 03.05.2023. 2.

Learned APP on instructions submits that the proposal has already been forwarded to the State Government by the concerned Superintendent of Jail.

We dispose of the writ petition by directing respondent no.2 to take appropriate decision in respect of the petitioner's proposal for premature release on its own merits as expeditiously as possible and in any case within eight weeks.
