The petitioners claim to belong to 'Koli Mahadev' Scheduled Tribe. Tribe Certificate validation proposal of the petitioners tendered to respondent No.2 Committee is stated to be pending for adjudication. As a result of failure of the petitioners to tender validity certificates, the petitioners apprehend that they may not be permitted to appear for the examinations.

2. In the facts of the case, these petitions can be disposed of by issuing directions to respondent No.2 Committee to take decision on the tribe certificate 1/2

922&933.odt validation proposal of the petitioners as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight months from today and it is accordingly directed. 3.

In the meanwhile, respondent No.3- Principal Govt. Engineering College, Karad, shall permit the petitioners to appear for examinations and shall also permit them to prosecute further studies, subject to decision on the tribe certificate validation proposals, pending with respondent no.2 Committee.

With the directions as above, writ petitions are disposed of.
