The petitioner seeks permission to terminate the pregnancy. 2.
The petitioner was referred to the expert committee of Dr. Shankarrao Chavan Government Medical Colllege Hospital, Vishnupuri, Nanded. The expert committee has examined the petitioner and submitted the report. The report reads thus: "Opinion of Expert committee:- The examinee has a congenitally malformed foetus (i.e. Fallot's tetralogy) and is at a risk of experiencing mental health problems. There is no risk of grave injury to her physical health if pregnancy continues. Baby born with congenital malformations will require surgical corrections after
2 66-wp-5477-2020.doc delivery. Prognosis of Tetralogy of Fallot is guarded and even more poor in view of associated pulmonary atresia. Hence, expert committee is of opinion to adopt termination of pregnancy as best opinion in present case." 3.
The petitioner is informed about the risk involved in termination of the pregnancy. Learned Advocate for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that the petitioner wants to proceed further with the termination of the pregnancy.

In view of the report of the expert committee, the petitioner is permitted to terminate the pregnancy at the Government recognised centre.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
