A request is made to spend an amount of Rs. 2.25 crores by way of grant for the purposes of deposit with the State Government on behalf of Shirdi Nagar Panchayat. It is submitted that, financial position of Shirdi Nagar Panchayat is not good and 10% contribution is to be made for the implementation of the water supply scheme of Shirdi, wherein Government is going to contribute an amount of Rs. 20.30 crores.

We allow the applicant to make payment of an amount of Rs. 2.25 crores by way of grant to the State Government for implementing the water supply scheme. However, after that amount is paid, the Government shall see to it that, the same is implemented through proper agency and the said scheme be implemented in a time bound manner. The State shall also ensure that the said scheme is taken to its logical end. 3.
