Heard. The present first appeal is filed by the claimant along with the application for condonation of delay of 885 days caused in filing the appeal.

The learned counsel for the claimant submits that the claimant is poor, uneducated, her land was compulsorily acquired, she had lost her livelihood and meager amount of compensation was granted to her. The learned counsel submits that due to financial difficulty, she could not file appeal in time. The learned counsel for the applicant further submits that the claimant will not claim the interest and statutory benefits for the delay period caused in filing the appeal.

For the reasons stated in the application and in view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the applicant, the delay of 885 days caused in filing the appeal is condoned. The delay condonation application is allowed and disposed of, subject to condition that the appellant/applicant shall not be entitled for the interest and statutory benefits for the delayed period.
