Heard learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the respective parties at length.

In view of the sequence of events occurred post filing of the petition, namely, that the petitioner who had challenged the notification for acquisition of land, has participated in the proceedings of acquisition of land, and permitted his land to be acquired by the competent authority and the competent authority has taken possession of his land and he has received the amount of compensation against his land being acquired, we see no reason to keep the petition pending only for the purpose of academic discussion. As such, the petition is disposed of accordingly.
