The petitioners are challenging the order passed by the Tahsildar under Section 143 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966. The petitioners have alternate efficacious remedy of filing the appeal before the Collector. The petitioners contend that no opportunity of hearing was given to the petitioners and in view of the strike of the Revenue Officers, the petitioners were constrained to approach this Court. 2.

In light of the fact that the petitioners have alternate an efficacious remedy, the writ petition is dismissed, with liberty to the petitioners to avail the alternate remedy. The impugned order is stayed for a period of two weeks from today.
